The Algerian state-owned company CTTP visits Infraestruturas de Portugal

Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) and the Algerian delegation of Organisme National de Contrôle Technique des Travaux Publics (CTTP), held a working session at IP facilities, last July 14th, within the framework of Twinning Project DZ20.
CTTP is the Algerian state-owned company responsible for the Management of Technical Assistance and Control of Road Infrastructure and Special Structures, as well Road Infrastructure Operation and Maintenance Management. 
This session aimed to present the Road Pavements Management System developed by IP 
IP presented the model and the activity developed by IP in this field, particularly with regard to Road Pavements Management System overall configuration; the database that supports it; the road pavement condition valuation method, through quality index; the decision support system for maintenance and rehabilitation interventions and road pavements inspection methodology.
The delegation also had the opportunity to watch the performance of the two equipment’s that support this activity, called “Perfilómetro Laser” and “Scrim”.
The Twinning Project DZ20 main mission is to exchange experiences and knowledge in the field of road and special structures management. The National Laboratory of Civil Engineering (LNEC), with the support of IP, is the Portuguese organization which integrates this Luso-Franco-Algerian project.
