Volunteer Work

IP recognizes volunteer work as a means of fostering cohesion between internal and external agents, and which strengthens a culture of proximity between the company and the community. IP feels it is vital to encourage voluntary work among group companies in Company Volunteer projects to promote the trust of stakeholders and carry out the IP Group’s mission.

Volunteer Actions
Terceiro Conteudo

In 2017/2018, a campaign was run for the victims of the summer fires of 2017, the success of which demonstrated that the company and our staff understand the importance of volunteer work, and recognize how it helps to create shared values among internal and external stakeholders.

In 2018, we promoted an action for the reforesting of Pedrogão Grande, the reconstruction of a children's playground in Mira and the fencing at ANCOSE in Oliveira do Hospital, always with the active and voluntary participation of staff and associated partners such as the Pedrogão Grande Municipal Authority, the Mira Municipal Authority, ANCOSE and the Oliveira do Hospital Municipal Authority.

In 2019, we supported Mozambique with a campaign in partnership with CTT - the Portuguese Post Office, and the Portuguese Red Cross, and the 10th Seixal – Terena Bike Ride organized by the musical group Os Anjos.

In 2020, IP gave a total of 58 laptop computers to charitable institutions and school groupings with the aim of helping children, young people and adults who are disabled and/or at risk.

IP is an ongoing supporter of the Food Bank where we provide our facilities in Lisbon, Caldas da Rainha, Évora and Covilhã, and through volunteer work by staff in different actions .

The company has also undertaken family volunteer work for nature as part of the Project LIFE LINES - Linear Infrastructure Network with Ecological Solutions, where we are partners, as well as in Christmas charitable campaigns which seek to support charitable organizations such as: Acreditar, CrescerSer, Associação Coração Amarelo, Comunidade Vida e Paz, Centro Juvenil de Campanhã and Make a Wish.

IP is also a partner in the charitable movement GivingTuesday. One of the largest global generosity movements, working in more than 70 countries, GivingTuesday arrived in Portugal in 2019. The concept was to create a Tuesday for giving to counteract two events of excessive consumption, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

In 2019, the IP Christmas Campaign was launched with GivingTuesday with the money raised being donated to causes run by Comunidade Vida e Paz which supports the homeless, and the Campanhã Juvenile Center which works with children and young people in the Porto region who have been abandoned or are orphans.

In 2020, the IP Group once again took part in the movement for the 2020 Christmas Campaign with support provided by our staff for Make-a-Wish Portugal, an association which makes wishes come true for children and young people with serious life-threatening illnesses.
