Work consists of the rehabilitation of a stretch of the IP3 from km 59+000 to km 75+160, involving rigid surfacing between km 59+000 and approximately km 64+490, and continuous flexible surfacing on a further stretch, located approximately between km 64+490 and km 75+160.

The scope of the work consists of the functional rehabilitation and reinforcement of existing surfacing, requalification of longitudinal drainage, replacement and reinforcement of existing signage and safety equipment, the standardization of lane width, replacement of central reservation together with the installation of a new drainage system, height separation of the Oliveira do Mondego and Cunhedo interchanges to eliminate the existing split-level intersection with turns to the left on the IP3, and the closure of right access points. This work will improve general structural safety of the roadway.
