PVAE - On 7 February 2017, the government presented the Business Area Enhancement Program which aims to reinforce the competitiveness of companies, create jobs and increase exports.

Of note in the Business Area Enhancement Program is the improvement of access to highways for the “drivers” of the economy which are made up of small and medium-sized enterprises. IP is fully committed to this program. This investment of more than 100 million euros is to be mostly achieved through the Infraestruturas de Portugal budget, but where part of the cost is borne by the municipal authority involved. This program seeks to improve accessibility for 12 business areas: 8 in the north, 2 in the center and 2 in the Alentejo.

As all projects have been started, the program is well underway with a number of them already concluded.
