Safety

As the entity managing road and rail infrastructure, the Safety of those using the national road and rail networks is essential and of paramount importance to IP.

IP constantly reinforces a culture of Safety, by developing competences and providing the necessary resources. This is a permanent concern for IP’s management, which aims to ensure that services are provided in a safe, efficient and sustainable manner.

IP views and treats Safety in an integrated manner, oriented by the same policy for the road and rail sector, with an emphasis on workers, users and the entities with which it interacts when designing, maintaining and operating the infrastructure it manages.

Rail Safety

Safety, availability, reliability and sustainability are the core pillars of our activities to maintain the national railway infrastructure.

IP has the necessary human resources and technologically advanced equipment to implement its strategy reflecting these values, enabling detailed knowledge of the state of the infrastructure. This also allows IP to prioritize its investments in a qualified manner and serves as the basis of its actions to maintain and upgrade the 2526 km of rail networks it manages.
